About Generation Now and Beyond
Generation Now and Beyond is a youth-focused not-for-profit formed in 2002 with a desire to respond to the real struggles facing young people and young adults in Bankstown and surrounding communities.
Our story
Generation Now and Beyond began as part of a care initiative connected to JLHF-I CARE, before becoming a separate entity in 2002 to better focus on young people and young adults and meet Australian charity and governance requirements.
From the beginning, the organisation set out to reach those at risk of being overlooked, particularly young people facing hardship, instability, and limited support. Early community programs included food care, hampers, and food parcels for people in Villawood, Bonnyrigg, Bankstown, and nearby areas.
Who we are
Generation Now and Beyond is an independent organisation. It is not a church, not a government body, and not a religious or political organisation. It exists as a distinct community-focused organisation committed to serving young people and young adults with compassion, integrity, and practical support.
